It’s a dirty job…

…but somebody had to do it!

a small selection of the cleaning supplies necessary to tackle the many jobs

Despite it’s appearance, we discovered that much of the grout in the downstairs closet and bathroom wasn’t actually supposed to be brown.

gag.

This dirty brown gunk was all over the banisters.

now you see it…

now you don’t!

During this process there was much googling of how to deeply clean different things. In general, elbow grease was the most important thing. That and Magic Erasers!

Remember how the fridge was packed with food when we bought the house? (Picture here.) Soon a putrid stench started, and we discovered a bulk pack of raw chicken loosely covered in tin foil. Totally vomit-inducing. There were definitely gloves and lots and lots of bleach used to clean that out! Getting a new fridge might be on the list now too.
